Of Sardines n Sandwiches........
i hate admitting i'm such a lazy arse but really i haven't blogged for long. For one, i'm on a terrible dial up connection-theoretically just bout 30kbps. Sending emails, loading webpages takes ages n guess wat, i tire out n juz forget bout blogging altogethr.
Secondly, probably because i've been busy, putting bits n pieces of life together after a one year hectic course known as the South Australian Matriculation (SAM- affectionately self abuse matriculation or as a senior shared: study atau mati). Sound like a bad excuse since life after exams should b free and easy. But before i get into the specifics on wat those bits n pieces are, i'd like to say a few things about SAM.....
  1. I stumbled into SAM. half an hour before enrolling, i was almost enrolling at taylors business school.
  2. SAM convinced me that i was more suited for engineering instead
  3. SAM is like instant noodles. Fast and unhealthy (thankfully i'm only on it for one year)
  4. SAM is Australian. rofl. i never really gived a damn bout australian stuff until SAM!!
  5. SAM made me work my butt off since there was this 50% internal assessment.
  6. SAM has less in its syllabus compared to A-levels but has more work
  7. SAM got me into this fantastic class s7. I LOVE s7!!
  8. SAM people obtain the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) / Sjil Pendidikan Australia Selatan/ sounds like their version of our SPM.

And i guess thats about it, unless sumthing interesting comes up later. N then well, after SAM, there was this huge happening called the corroboree a.k.a. prom. (see, that's another hint of being aussie) that i had a part in organising. Not that my work made a lot of difference since i was only in publicity i.e. my job is getting Shawn's fantastics designs to print into banners, tickets and cards for the most reasonable price possible. But then again, gotta help out the last few days wrapping gifts n all that small yet important little things.

Bout the nite itself. I could say that many enjoyed themselves (but not exactly because we did a great job) on the magnitude and significance of the event itself. After all it was a graduation night!! The MC's were honestly quite crappy. (If both of you are somehow reading this, i think it has got something to do with an alleged stalker-lol). The performances were well, plain performances except the one with the cockroaches.....ahah.....that was really amusing. And I was obviously quite annoyed at the unofficial 'yumsengs' going around. Hello? Is this a graduation or a wedding? Everybody else was also busy capturing images of what could possibly be a rare sight of glamour and grandeur. I couldn't resist too! After all, i've never seen siu siu in a skirt let alone a dress. Okaylaa....i admit i was wearing a dress!! Haha i never liked wearing dresses coz they'r tricky and besides i don't have any dresses. Hmm i have one that i turned into a pyjamas that i wore to college on days that i was late!! but thatz another story. And since the connection is so poor. I advised myself not to post any photos here until i regain broadband access. Go friendster and see the photos laaa......

After the prom, i basically just packed up and headed home to Seremban. Definitely not easy adapting to the presence of both my parents nagging at me everyday. All I wanted was just a well deserved break and there they go pushing along: "Shall we go check out Nottingham University today?" "Have you called the driving instructor yet." "hey, your room is really messy. Clean it up quick" I was struggling with all that bulk i juz moved home- they were not lending a hand- they were pushing a little too far.

And so i decided i needed to walk away for a while. Went holidaying with dear s7 kakis to muar and melaka. Had loads of fun. Muar bore a really exceptional resemblance to my hometown port dickson. Really. Or maybe i just missed PD too much. N the food-otak-otak and satay celup- was GOOD!!!

Came back to seremban. fell terribly ill (aftermath of stress from exams and prom) n lost 2 kilos in a day. I hate the fact that i couldn't eat a thing coz i felt like throwing everything back out!!! Haha..... the 2 kilos have been regained with much effort anyways. At least mum and dad let me off for a few days.

Then after that, I had no means of escaping. Guess i had to start checking out prospective universities and get learning to drive. i haven't got on the road yet. Hope to make time for that this week. As for university, I've pretty much chosen Monash in Sunway for the monetary benefits.

Yupz, itz a scholarship. (thank god the SACE results) I so badly wanted and needed one to keep me learning. Not too okay with parents spending too much on my education since they retired. Its to my benefit too!! how else am i gonna get the motivation to maintain good grades? Don't forget itz the ones who pay who have the most control over things. So I could possibly gain more freedom from the scholarship.

And well before i finish this super long post......bout the sardine and sandwiches. I just realised the importance of having ur own car after being stuck in a delayed ktm with a bunch of people packed up like sardines in the train. Wat a tight squeeze!! And i had to worry bout my belongings as well as wandering perverted hands (coz i was aware of the amount of perverts that lurk about- thankfully nothing happened)!!!! Cars are way better. No matter how bad the jam is, the space within the car is mine!! noone should conveniently tresspass n try steal my belongings or try to well harass me anyhow.....LOL must get my own car really.........
