In the first place, people are just making too big a deal out of the opening ceremony, buildings and whatever else that has got nothing to do with the essence of Olympics as a ancient sporting event relived in modern times.
Seriously, are people going to get it that the Games are not about how much money and time they spent on perfecting the physical, show-off apparatus?
Of course, probably being the biggest sporting event in the world that comes only once in 4 years, we cannot expect anything less. But for that matter, can you guys just stop labeling China to be the best Olympics ever? Probably when London comes along, you'll think the same....
And the sickest part about everything is, they keep using CUTE children to project the message of peace.
But before I rant on, I have nothing against cute kids.
Especially this one
here. Such a hero!
BUT I have something against misuse of the Kiddy image.
If you had not bothered to read the article about Lin Hao,

I'm angry, for someone came up with this lame excuse of combining "the perfect voice and the perfect performance."
Seriously, who are you kidding?
You may argue that it's human nature to like good looking things, yes.
You may say that this whole looks things been around for years everywhere in the entertainment industry, yes.
BUT apparently the whole kiddy image thing was about projecting the good nature of children who have not been polluted by adult views of politics, race, religion, beauty and other things that children are supposedly not thinking a lot about. YOU
OXY-MORONS!
How are you to justify that??
From this stupid act alone, probably thousand of children will learn that looks are the way to go.
And you mixed that all up with a perfectly Chinese theme-ed event. What a shame!

On a lighter note......
Another disappointment.
Just found out that this guy here, who came so close to a Marathon gold medal in Athens but settled for a bronze instead because of this idiot here - who also attends and messes up F1 races- will be missing out on Beijing..........
